Charlie makes himself appear big, but when it comes down to it he is a coward and will always side with the seemingly stronger group or person. Sam is a bit more collected and calm. Most of the time she has to keep her little brother out of trouble. Sam prefers to create stuff, that is why she is always looking for materials. Charlie is also often looking for stuff but then for the purpose of wrecking it.

Both of them ran away from home. They do not want to talk about where they come from and why they ran away. Because of their silence Faron took them into the gang. He does not know where to return them to and on the streets they would not survive very long. The rich people of Castle Town do not care much for unknown parentless children either. This does come in the game, but is not further developed. As these characters are more filler.
