Sakon was the thief in Majora's Mask. A few days after Link saved Termina, a figure visited the town at some point and targeted Sakon when he tried to rob e him. As Sakon surrendered, the figure offered Sakon a bit of his power if he is help him.
With this power, Sakon caused problems in Clock Town, forcing Kafei and the soldiers to track him down, since Sakon left obvious evidence of his presence. Finally Kafei, who is weary from battle, confronted Sakon and fought him, eventually Sakon's new-found power backfired and caused him to exploded, apparently dying in the process, however, the nearly dead Sakon had been recovered by the figure right after he kidnapped the Happy Mask Salesman.
Sakon's actions impressed the figure, who revealed that he was just a clone of the orignal. The clone lead Sakon to Shad, who made a deal with Sakon if he joined his dark forces. Sakon accepted, leaving his thieverish past behind to become something much more dark.
Sakon later learns who Link and Kafei's presence and wishes to seek revenge on Link and Kafei by attempting to kill them both.
