Kaddak is one of James' metahuman enemies and is also the ghostly figure that haunts James. He is able to take form of a shadowy like monster and or turn into a living shadow himself, making it difficult to harm him. his very presence darken an area as he he is closing in, making it obvious to others who is coming to the fight. He is Karvner's surrogate son and student, who helps to bring forth King Sheer's true plan. Kaddak's abilities could cause someone to hallucinate, if they linger around him too much, forcing his victims into a paralysis-like state and or he prevents them from having the will to break out of such a state, rendering them insane.

Anyone who is a friend to Karvner, is a friend to him, however, he is neutral towards others, and doesn't think to care of them as much, even when teaming up with them.

History

Kanwell was watched over a scientist who allegedly rescued him from a lab to which Kanwell set a blaze at the age of 7. The scientist' name was Carla Kunze, who was formerly a student scientist to both Karvner and Sarcosa, up until she made her decision to remain with Sarcosa. Her final request was for Karvner to care for the boy as if he was a son, and Karvner did just that.

It is unclear, however, Carla revealed that the boy does show that he cares for others, expect only a few people, herself and Karvner, it is unclear if Kanwell cares for anyone of his peers, whoa s of now take orders from him. Carla made notes that the boy was kept in an underground lab in Scotland, for they had never seen a meta-human before. The boy was placed in a large white room with few pieces of furniture inside and Kanwell was barely wearing any clothing, with the exception of briefs. She mentioned Kanwell somehow escaped the lab that went up into flames, but this was a mystery for the boy to escape was encased in a sealed room, she ruled out the fire was some sort of chemical accident or a bizarre suicide attempt from the inside. She added she was right outside, about to go in and spotted the boy, she took the boy with her and as for the lab it was forgotten and it's location is unknown. Her notes also revealed the boy's history, of which he has memories claiming he saw his sister get murdered and uncontrollable used his unknown powers to choke the man to death, but it contradicts a similar story to which Kanwell's sister saved him, but died in the process, causing Kanwell to use his powers. When Kanwell woke up in Carla's quarters, he practically went crazy for a brief moment during a small lecture by Carla, to which the boy grabbed Calra as he was still in bed, and with a grim look on his face, Kanwell uttered "We will not let this happen again" in an ominous, repetitive manner. Carla attempted to comfort the boy and after about 1 full minute of this repetitive message, Kanwell broke down in tears and cried himself to sleep. The last entry, Carla thought that Kanwell was referring to his sister, and his parents, who were unknown, however he mentioned "we". Before siding with and after siding with Sarcosa, Carla developed a hypothesis about Kanwell, stating that his mind isn't his own, adding he somehow has the attitude of his late sister, who was probably a calm person.

Trivia

• Kaddak has 3 personalities: one being the kind, yet mischievous child that he is, the other being a gentlemen, who is serious about his actions and doesn't hesitate to tell his opponent of his plans, and the last one being his sinister, crazed version of himself, in addition, for his dark power to kick in. Usually this dark form is forced, and he forces this personality to take hold of him before he fights, usually he is stopped before this could happen.

• Kaddak has a mixed personality, for his Shadow form being his darker self, and his good-not so bad looking normal form is his normal, not so crazed self. This character is based on Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde. His metahuman abilites consist of shadow energy formed from lunar rays from the moon, so he is commonly active at night, and most of his crimes happen at night as well. His abilities was inspried by Ebon from Static Shock.

• He was able to have James and Bianca fight each other as he tried to escape.

• He was also successful in kidnapping NeoxRose.

• Ironically, his weakness is ice. The reason for this is unknown, but it is revealed that when in his shadowy form, he is vulnerable to freezing temperatures, that could in fact kill him. When any ice based weaponry is used, he remains in normal form or flees from combat.

• His actions caused most of his enemies and or allies to suffer violently. Mainly Dalton Ferguson's life (Lizard-Man), who was dismembered allegedly by James Konta, which was revealed to be J-Myare, at the time, James was under rubble, trying to escape elsewhere in the building. Kaddak was responsible for darkening the room with his abilities, and playing mind games on James, screwing up his vision. This also bothered Lizard-Man, who spotted Kaddak's glowing eyes from a distance and attempted to go to him, only for Kaddak to seem as though he was thrown by James, but in truth, he was avoiding James' swords, using Dalton as a shield to see what James was capable of; Kaddak wanted James to murder someone that day.

• Kaddak has disregard for the life of others, expect for his higher uppers. Because of this, he is place on watch, for he has the urge to torture anyone he comes into contact with, however, Kaddak's hatred is for James, for what James had done to his father figure, Karvner.
