Equipment: Viral energy source that is ever growing at the core of the android’s body, protected by a force from its upper body. Has the ability to detach its upper and lower body, at times, even its limbs. Able to expel shock-wave of energy that creates a manipulative virus that can target humans, machines and robots alike. Capable of regenerating from damage due to the energies and mixed DNA of living beings. Weakness: It’s face, if damaged enough, most of its abilities will be hindered greatly, any attack on its face forces the android to go into a defensive stance.

Motive: Due to its ability to have emotions like a real person, it wants vengeance, blames Japan (mainly Tokyo) for the death of its father/creator, and will retaliate when its power level reaches 100%

A highly advanced android being that replicates human emotion that was created by the late Leon St. Marc 2nd, who had lost both his wife and child in an accident. The Android was active briefly during the end of the SWAT Raid on St. Marc II's estate due to the dying Leon St. Marc 2nd adding backup data into logs and forcefully putting the android into a hibernation state, but as for the android, it sees SWAT standing before its creator as it called out to St. Marc 2nd as father before being shut down. He is also one of the main antagonist of the story who has not made himself that well known until he hijacks a robot, and revealed by old data log and visor video feed with its silhouette.

He was a character I've created in 2009 for this storyline alone.

The Mask and appearance

It wears a titanium fiber Kabuki mask with straps bolted to its cranium. At the forehead of the mask, bears a small red crystal-like object that acts as a scanner, a sensor and does various other things, the 3rd eye for the android. The mask has a chilling smile and black eyeless slits hiding its beaming yellow eyes. The mask also bares red markings, as if it shows the android as crying or angered. The mask Protects Shouboku's face, for its very face is its own weakness if it is damaged due to it being one of the softer parts of the android’s body. Removing or even cracking the mask is a daunting task for it requires quite a bit of work to do so.

The Android stands at 10+Ft. tall, nearly a slander giant compared to normal robots and humans alike. It has the ability to detach its lower body and hover around, giving it an advantage over its enemies. The core of the android is a magnetic ball of green energy that remains with its upper body. This energy source is what gives the android life and the same source that grants it its power, enough to destroy an entire city when its energy levels reach 100%. It was the one responsible for causing a massive sonar-like shock-wave of discharged energies when it awoken from its slumber in the year 22XX. With this power, it has the ability to create an unknown virus that engulfs its victims, causing the human, device and or robot to go temporarily insane or become manipulated to do the will of the android. The virus has been tested by and enhance by Yoroshima before his death.

Shouboku is a titanium fiber giant who weights also 2 tons and can hit with enough force to nearly kill the average human being, with enough force backing its attacks. Its entire body is extremely durable and it is capable of self-healing due to energy sources and a bit of nanotechnology, in addition to various forms of human and meta-human DNA, making it a juggernaut in a fight. As soon as it takes a heavy blow from its foes, it will go on a defensive stance and regenerate within minutes, as long as its face isn’t damage, the android itself will heal fairly quickly. If it was possible to cut off its limbs, it will only connect back to the android regardless, as long as the head, the face of the android is still operational. It has a jet black metallic body that is capable of detaching if the android chooses to do so or done so at will.

The only way to destroy the android is to remove its mask, and attack its face, this will cause it to breakdown its barriers and become vulnerable, disabling its ability to instantly heal and recover itself.

History

Creation – Prior and During (2050-2080)

After the death of Leon St. Marc’s beloved wife and child, he had tried to fight with the thugs, only to be beaten and sent into coma. When he had awaken, he went back to his company, but has passively gone insane, wanting revenge, which was stated in his encrypted data entries that he will make those thugs pay.

He succeeded in doing so by secretly forming the group called White Dragon. He also hired a longtime friend, Vitarius, who was also an assassin by trade. Eventually they defeated the thugs and their leaders, but it wasn’t enough. St. Marc 2nd felt that he can only achieve peace via creating something to leave behind a legacy, the idea of this android was to remain St. Marc about his past errors and about the life of his wife and child, before he was forced to move on. Years down the road, he had succeeded, but his work wasn’t done. White Dragon had begun to move items from the Robotic Engineering firm, which was founded by The St. Marcs, to his estate in New Kyushu City. But this raised suspicion among the Japanese media, and they bluntly threw conspiracy theories out there stating that the robotic scientist had been taken hostage and forced to work for the gang. With this information in mind, St. Marc needed more time so he and Vitarius made a plan to just go with what the media stated, and Vitarius caused a scene to prevent people from accessing the estate. Later that night, Ayumi Saito and her Japanese special forces, jointed with American forces, made their way into the estate, and a shootout broke out. St. Marc 2nd was hit by a plasma rifle to the abdomen, which caused him to be critically injured, forcing him to rush back to his quarters in the basement. SWAT was able to gun-down White Dragon members, and came to the realization that some members weren’t just gangsters, but had been under some form of mind manipulation, this was the early stages of the virus at work.

The fight also caused a blackout, making it harder to decipher who among the White Dragon was a trained killer vs. the one’s forced to fight alongside White Dragon. Thanks to night vision, they were able to tell who is who, and SWAT resorted to using a non-lethal shot weapon that isn’t as hazardous as normal guns and plasma based weapons. Fel’Ora was defeated and when some SWAT members were dealing with Vitarius, The rookie aka Lance lead his group, whom ere with him at the time, to fight against Vitarius, and soon Fel’Ora, who came back for round 2. Vitarius’ guard was let down when his sister fell in battle, and after this, Vitarius was defeated. As an act of respect, Vitarius announced his will for himself and that of his sister, ending that he regrets nothing for he will have his revenge. At this Ayumi tasked Lance and Yula Steelbound to go check out the next room, while they stand guard, and they witness a dark gloomy laboratory. There were devices, data logs, holograms and humanoid robots and mechs either bounded to a table or on the wall inside.

There, they also see dying St. Marc on the ground, sitting with his arm covering his wound. He used his other hand to take care the last bit of information of his work and backing up all his data and logs into a heavily encrypted data main frame in form of a crystal-like object. Steelbound, since she was the medic in the group, tried to help him, but St. Marc stated that it is too late, as Lance still has his gun aimed at St. Marc, and out of nowhere, a voice in Japanese called out “Father”. Lance and Steelbound looked, and they see a shadowy figure with glowing yellow eyes stare at them. St. Marc enabled a protocol by voice command and he strapped being who was struggling to get up had stopped due to this protocol. St. Marc stated that the world wasn’t ready for his work and said he had staged all that has happened this evening. He even went on to say that those he sought revenge on are the same ones who had led him to this path he took. St. Marc then passed away, and Steelbound called in the other members.

An insider, who is secretly White Dragon, had St. Marc’s work transported to a facility located nearby the watery zones of Hashima Island, the Japanese Ghost Island, the base is called SL117, whereas automated drones take care of and dispose of resources if the situation comes to it, re-creating recycled metals and materials to be reused. All data logs, computers, devices, encrypted cameras, robots and prototypes from the estate were sent there. Corpses were destroyed via cremation, those who had been manipulated were sent back home with little to no memory of what really happened, as for the dead ones, they were ruled out as either missing or said to be killed by the White Dragon. This mysterious person also ordered all visor data to be terminated, however, Zanato, another SWAT agent, secretly hid his, even advising Lance to hide his and in its place they terminated a fake visor data feed. Unknown to them, a rogue agent does the same, who wasn’t with them at the time, making 3 segments of data that was supposed to be destroyed hidden away for years. Since the late St. Marc and his late father had contributed to SL117, those drones were able to recognize St. Marc’s work and it triggered an error, sending everything from the estate to the lowest part of SL117, whereas humans have never been done there since the area’s creation.

The death of St. Marc was covered up, to everyone around the world that St. Marc had been killed in a hostage rescue, that the White Dragon were stealing resources from him as an act of revenge, and a slew of conspiracies followed, in addition, to the stalking and interview of SWAT and former captives of White Dragon, who didn’t say anything expect to how the media described it. Ayumi herself was 100% positive that White Dragon did keep St. Marc hostage, but the biggest theory is how St. Marc sustain the shot to begin with, and no one was able to comment.

Some events in the years 21XX into 22XX

Leon St. Marc 3rd took over. She was the comeback child no one really knew about and was fascinated of her father’s work. She decided to continue it in secret, however, she has no criminal ties like her father, so instead, she pays, even bribes others to help her out and she created Boshiku, the soon to be helper of Shouboku. At some point, she sent the android to SL117 thanks to her hired thugs, but those thugs were scared and abandon the android there, and they got scolded by St. Marc. Despite them abandoning the android, it somehow found its way to the area and was greeted by its fellow robots. Boshiku managed to break the encrypted data left behind by St. Marc 2nd and re-purposed the other drones and robots, which lead to the eventually lockdown of the zone. At this, St. Marc 3rd stated that, in private, SL117 has been shut down, she had the power to prevent any personnel from going there because the hidden zone was founded by her family and had been created by them. She later got very ill after giving birth to twins in 2117, and she died at the age of 38, giving full power to her offspring.

It is unknown to what happen to the other brother, but Leon St. Marc 4th took over the company and removed the creation of weapons from the company plan, instead, build technology to aid people who are sick and are injured badly and dubbed it LSM tech. He does this because he is still traumatized by his mother’s death and the alleged death of his brother. My years had passed and at age 65, thanks to technology, his wife was able to give birth to a very healthy baby boy in 2182. Years had passed and St. Marc 4th passed away at age 87. At this St. Marc 5th accepted the fate of his father and to continue his life of being a happy man.

In 22XX. St. Marc 5th now age 25, a party boy, very smart and takes in students to learn from him. He continues his father’s legacy by making technology to help people, even giving robots more possibilities to help people in need, as to having robots in every household. Despite his richest and power, the past life of his great grandmother and boggles his mind and he privately tries to figure out what she has been doing. At some point, he reunited with Boshiku, who re-introduced himself as his great grandmother’s creation and the two of them shared a bound with each other, with St. Marc unaware of Boshiku’s hidden agenda.

Cybernetic Threat in Japan 2207- Shouboku waking up

Shouboku finally awakens, deep beneath SL117. His wakening caused a few drones to escape the area, and the shock-wave from his awakening caused a massive shock-wave under the water, as if it was a massive sonar, it stretched out as far as the west, that it shook up America a bit. People thought it was an earthquake; however, an ex-Navy Seal, Jordan Wayne (Dark-Skull) turned Hero picked up an eerie signal from Japan that caused his computer to go crazy. He rushed off to Old Japan to figure it out, but suddenly vanished. During this time, White Dragon emerged again on to the oil of Old Japan, making Tokyo and connecting towns as their primary targets since the sonar shut down most power in the area, this also caused The Neo Yakuza to go into full effect on the zone, considering White Dragon as a relic that needs to be destroyed, hence the fight between to the two to take up territory starts.

Shouboku himself communicated with Boshiku due to the connection they have with each other, and he gave Boshiku some of his energy to conduct a virus to take over parts of Japan, which Boshiku had started to do days prior to Shouboku’s awakening. The virus not only hit robots, but humans as well. It was strong enough to shut down the whole net-main frame of Japan so nothing was being transmitted out, even signs of S.O.S. Lite tech was only capable of communicating with others in Japan only and force-fields to block off bordered zones were still operational. Shouboku needed to bind it’s time to achieve 100% for he is only at 88% power, as his drones, that he now has control of due to the virus, touched up the beacon at SL117, which can be used as a canon when Shouboku is merged with it.

Shouboku hasn’t made himself present with the world, but he did advise Boshiku to make sure all of White Dragon head to SL117 after he has reached 100% and to make sure St. Marc 5th remains in Kyushu city until the time is right. This explains why New Kyushu City was 100% safe from White Dragon/Neo Yakuza skirmishes. There is also a massive source of energy projecting from the city, whereas drones go in and work on this energy and prepare it to be brought to Shouboku. Shouboku made himself sort of known when James and company confront Nadila Domashevich (DJ Nadi).

Hijacking robot, St. Marc 5th and threat via broadcast

Since Yoroshima upgraded the virus to make it stronger, it was secretly placed inside one of DJ Nadi’s Russian Guards. Shouboku picked out the biggest threat in the room and attempted to smash an unaware Miranda (Kitty), only for James to get in the way, causing both of them to break down a wall and crash into a side building and the two began fighting. The robot Shouboku controlled was extremely mobile for most of its body could turn or retract into itself like a turtle, ultimately defeating James due to its unpredictable movement patterns. Shouboku ID’ed James as a special meta-human and made itself makes use of DNA data of the late Vitarius and Fel’Ora, who are Dragnis years ago. After the fight, St. Marc 5th was kidnapped by drones, and the hijacked robot stated that, while hacking into every broadcast in Japan, that there is only 24 hours left until Japan, mainly Tokyo, burns, stating for the people to cherish their last moments. The Japanese panic and didn’t know what to do, and attempted to flee to New Kyushu City, but were booted out, for the people taking refuge there thinks that they will be hit, causing even more panic.

Shouboku had Boshiku bring the virus to St. Marc 5th, who didn’t want to, in his words, become a monster, but Boshiku stated that it is for the greater good. Making St. Marc feel and act like St. Marc 2nd the instant he is engulfed with the virus. Drones started to swarm across Japan, and the White Dragon suddenly vanished; with Neo Yakuza remaining former causing trouble, only to easily be disbanded after their leader was killed by Hima Saito in a mansion fight with James and friends accompanied by SWAT. James and friends discovered the truth from the data hidden away by Zatano and Lance, and after finding data about SL117, including Lance’s visor data of seeing the android say father. Once they pin pointed the location of the mysterious base, they made their way there, accompanied by SWAT and Japanese police forces who were on standby for the final fight.

Hashima Island drones, getting to SL117

The Ghost Island had been flooded with the lethal White Dragon drones and they had to fight their way to SL117, with the Steel Maiden Society and Japanese rebels showing up to help in the fight moments later. When they got there, they were confronted by Boshiku, who put up a fight, taunting them that the inevitable cannot be stopped for they will witness where Japan will get hit first and who is firing the weapon. Everyone thought Boshiku was the real villain, but those who saw the logs thought otherwise, that something was amidst. Once they got inside SL117, Shouboku told them that the fight is already over, that the fight cannot be won, and he sent out Beast-Li, Zegma, DJ Nadi, Bull-Bot to face them, each of them with an enhanced virus, which has copied the fighting patterns of James, Miranda, Jordan, Yuna, and others, making the fight harder than it was before. After their defeat, the White Dragon enemies regain conscious and decided to help out, seeing that they have been played by Boshiku, expect for Bull-Bot, who wanted his prison sentence cleared if he is going to play the hero card, to which Yuna said there is a possibility. More drones swarm the room and the fight continued, with Jordan telling James to rush ahead to stop Shouboku. James did just that and has accidentally activated guide bots, who guided him throughout SL117.

Converted St. Marc 5th

Shouboku had sent out his champion, St. Marc 5th to confront James. St. Marc was also given the new virus and had the abilities of not of James and friends, but also past villains and SWAT members from the estate raid in 2080. The fights lead the two of them deeper into SL117 until St. Marc was defeated. When James tried to go and see if he is alright, drones swarmed in and moved James away, taking him to Shouboku himself via elevator.

James & Yuna vs. Shouboku

Shouboku emerges from his erected cyber coffin and confronts James; his very presence caused the guide bots to turn on James. As the virus was just about to take James as well, the temporary vaccine Bianca made prevented the takeover. Shouboku knew that it would take longer for James to succumb to the virus than an average human, so instead, he fought James as it tried to speak. Shouboku revealed the hidden camera data, showing that a SWAT member purposely shot and injured St. Marc 2nd badly, and the android blames Tokyo itself for this act of crime. Even at this point if James tried to reason with Shouboku, it was impossible because the android was also able to have emotion, and it has gone insane on what he wants to do while protecting its own followers. Shouboku reached 100% and forced James into the steel coffin like object and sealing him. Before the James was put into a cryogenic sleeping state, he broke free with the aid of his magnetic katana that was on the ground, which boomeranged back to James, shattering the glass of the sealed coffin like object.

James rushed Shouboku into the elevator and their rushing fight caused the elevator to break at the 25th basement floor. As they fought, it turns out Yuna managed to reach the room James was in and contacted James, only to realize he is fighting an enemy right now. At this, she took a different route inside SL117 to get to the top using a secondary elevator. She was able to take shoots at Shouboku, helping James in the fight. James and Shouboku fought within the elevator shaft, trading blows, whereas some hits destroyed parts of the wall, causing water to seep inside, but repair drones were able to fly in to repair said leaks.

Eventually, James got overwhelmed and Shouboku attempted to choke James out, only to fail when James pushed himself to the point where he crushed parts of Shouboku’s gripping hands, which he healed from momentarily until James found a weak spot, its face. When James ran out of energy, he pushed himself to fight anyway, not wanting for Shouboku to destroy Japan. Then they reach the top, and Shouboku throws James on the group, only for Yuna to appear to it and tries to fight the angered android. Shouboku scanned Yuna and realized she is part of the Steelbound family and attempted to destroy her. It grabbed her by the neck and stated that someone of blood was there when it saw the death of its father, to which Yuna, as she struggled, told Shouboku she knows, but they didn’t do anything but try to help. James saves Yuna, only to be attacked himself, then Shouboku used energy based attacks to prevent Yuna and James from getting close to it. He fired another shot at Yuna, nearly knocking Yuna off the ledge, only for James to save her.

Shouboku's aftermath

Shouboku climbs to the beacon goes to grip the beacon to use as a weapon, telling them and the others who emerged from the drone fight that they will be the first to witness a targeted be glassed. The weakened Shouboku had been stopped by a plea from St. Marc 2nd, who stood by the Beacon, telling the android to stop. It took some time, and the android was about to fire, however it stopped. It didn’t want to hurt St. Marc after being there in physical to see the young man tearing up. Shoudoku surrendered and sees a beaten Boshiku, to which he commanded the drones close to him to bring the battered android to him. As he carried Boshiku, Shouboku unleashed a massive discharged of energy, causing energy, causing everyone to take cover, with James grabbing a hold of St. Marc and taking cover with him. As this was happening, St. Marc yelled at the android saying that something that happen years ago should not be resulting in the deaths of innocents, and its vendetta against Japan or whoever has caused him trouble is pointless. Then he said he wants to help Shouboku. Shouboku mumbled a bit, stating that it has to destroy Japan, he has to destroy Tokyo, adding that it used White Dragon to keep St. Marc safe in New Kyushu City, but at a cost. St. Marc told Shouboku that it is over, he can help it turn over a new leaf, but sadly the years of discharged energies caused Shouboku’s energy it 0%, shutting itself down. The core of the android went from green to a faint blue color, and its eyes went from yellow to blue, but it quickly faded away and the shutting down of Shouboku took place. Parts of it got destroyed by the remaining energy that gives it life, back firing the core of the android as if it was a self-inflicted attacked. It then fell back down the massive elevator shaft, seemingly dying with the broken Boshiku in hand, as it hits the ground; this also marks the end of The Cybernetic Threat in Japan. All drones retrieved back to SL117 and flew down the shaft like a swarm of wasps. A protocol by the drones was sent, closing off the area for good. St. Marc picks up the battered mask of Shouboku and reflects on the whole ordeal that took place that day.

Events after Cybernetic Threat in Japan

It is unknown if Shouboku had perished or not, or if he is being repaired, but months later, someone has gone down to SL117 to repair the android, this was St. Marc himself, who wanted to revive both Shouboku and Boshiku to help and protect people of Japan. White Dragon had finally been disbanded as well, however, the reputation of the group being connected to St. Marc lingers ever so slightly, but he ignores it for the gang/terrorist group was a foundation formed by his insane ancestor, who had lost so much. Information about the rogue SWAT agent had been released and it is revealed to be Tanaka from Ayumi’s group, despite him being dead for years now. As for the White Dragon agent (The ninja), it turns out this man kind of helped in preserving the truth, but was unaware that Shouboku itself was a living android at the time.

Trivia

• St. Marc II had rounded up the best of the best resources in the world to create this monument to his sins and a reminder of his late wife and unborn child, hence the creation of a powerful android that was made before it’s time.

• The android itself refers to St. Marc II as its father. Because it was the first person it sees, and it was able to replicate speech the moment it saw its creator. Even though it can speech other languages, its first language is Japanese, so when it said father, it said Otōsan (お父さん).

• Boshiku was the one responsible for adding on to Shouboku, who was still in a hibernation-like state and did so using the data logs that were disposed of with the android.

• Shouboku detected another target within Japan that he wants to protect, however, this target is unware of the android’s very existence, nor does it know Boshiku. This target helped fight against White Dragon members in San’ya and the Broken Beach, in hopes of saving a little girl.

• Shouboku is capable of discharging massive viral energies from its body, and at 100% it has enough power to destroy an entire city, more if he makes use of a weapon that was created by drones within SL117. It could have destroyed Japan, but didn’t do so right away due to remaining White Dragon members still present when Boshiku informed him, and information about St. Marc the 5th.

• It is unknown if the death of Yoroshima made Shouboku feel some type of way, but the android makes remarks about his work all the time. So Yoroshima, if he had truly perished, Shouboku would have been furious as he was for the defeat of Boshiku’s high ranking White Dragon members. He makes his caring hand known when he escapes with defeated Dj Nadi, carrying her out of the Black Light Club.

• SL117 is located on and next to Hashima Island (inter-connected). A small factory like area with a huge beacon can be found next to the island, having a sub-levels reaching out to almost 30 basement floors, housing abandon tech from decades ago. The first 3 floors destroys and recycles metals to be reused by the Japanese, however, this area has been shut down by St. Marc 3rd, forcing Japan to recycle and re use its own metals without the fast aid of SL117.
