Named after the year that the project began, Ocarina of Time 2D 2014 is thus far the farthest attempt of many at a ALttP-styled remake of a well-known masterpiece. It has been attempted many times and by many different authors, the first attempt of which was over a decade ago!

The most recent version of OoT 2D was v.15.2, which was released on October 31st of 2014. This version included Kokiri Forest, the first dungeon, Hyrule Field, Kakariko Village, The Market, and Hyrule Castle. The project is still being continued today, the next planned release being v.18.
