Assisting Link and Company against The Black Knight

Ray was among the unknown allies that Byron had summoned to defeat The Black Knight after figuring out his crazy plot. There wasn't much of communication between him and Link until afterward the events of The Black Knight where Link seeks his help to get inside The Aquatic Tower.

Flying atop the Tower

Link had to find Ray in order to travel to the tower. Ray was currently t a house of a close friend of his who is a boat maker. At this time Ray introduced himself to Link and offered to help him get to the tower if he is to find his friend's lost turtle. After seeking out the turtle and returned it to Ray. Ray had his friend build a light boat to support him and Link to travel to the Tower, Link's company had to remain with Sane so that he could further his plan for the artifact.

During the boat ride there, one of Ray's friend's who is a Zora named Malikai led the two to the tower, in addition, he explained about the large broken key to open the door that had been scattered into 5 pieces. Link, Ray and Malikai did there best to retrieve the key. Ray was able to piece it back together thanks to his locksmith skills and the door to the temple had been opened. At this Ray remains outside if Link needed anything for example, fairies red potion, etc. leaving the inside area up to Link and Malikai to venture through.

Joining Goom's Alliance

Sane's influence got the attention of a former Termina Solider by the name of Daniel Goom. After Link had been recruited by him, along with the others, Ray himself joined without any issue, wanting to see the end to the dark forces that are running a mock in Novos Orsa. Ray often refers the group to the soldiers and knights of olden times.
