Title: The Purple Assassin

This unknown figure stalks a few of the characters in the story, among them is Link himself. The figure claims to know who Link is and familiar with his bloodline. The Purple Assassin confronts Link from time to time and often his information to Link opens up a path for the hero to succeed. The figure took an interest in Link and tells him his that his mentor would be fond of him, he adds that his mentor and "the others" share a bit of Link's qualities as well. The figure reveal himself to be an Assassin of The Obadi Clan, a group of highly skilled warriors and assassins.

Faces off with Link

On Link's Quest (Side-Quest), there had been a failed assassination attempted by a hooded figure, resembling the one who tried to attack Illrigal previously. After failing, the figure took off, with Link and others giving a chase. Since Link was faster, he was able to keep up with the dark figure, eventually cornering it in the woods. Link engaged in combat with the figure, only for it to be struck down. Similarly to the figure, another hooded figure approached Link. It shared the same clothing as the other one, however, the color it wore was dark purple.

The figure introduced itself to be an Assassin. The Assassin told Link that this was a false assassination to lure Link to him. He adds that he could easily kill Link, but he is neutral to both sides and only targets the threats to his clan. He shares information with Link in a complex, yet understandable fashion in order to help the young hero on his adventure, even adding to what would happen if he is to fail. As Link's company draws near, the figure disappears.

Kohlingen Hidden Graveyard

After revisiting this grave site, The Assassin sits on top of the gravestone of a fallen warrior. At this he tells Link he shares similar qualities of his mentor, he also adds that his mentor may be fond of Link if they were to meet. As with every encounter, he shares information to Link, yet again in a complex fashion to aid him.
