Solider of Ikana
Before the events of Majora's Mask, Illrigal was a solider to the Ikana Royal Family. He was among those who had so much respect by all, including the Royal Family, in addition, Illrigal was skilled in hand-to hand combat then he is using weaponry. One night, a group of soldiers chased out a hooded figure from Ikana Canyon, but lost him. Illrigal himself hunted the hooded figure within the village complex (Which is now a cemetery). Illrigal threaten the hooded man that if he wishes to life, he is free to go,in addition, Illrigal gave the man clemency to tell his side of the story of his own presence in Ikana. The man reveal himself to be part of Garo Robe.
Joining The Garo Robe
Illrigal took the man to his home. The man questioned Illrigal if he had any family, sadly, Illrigal replied back saying he is the last of his family to be alive, saying that all of his family members died from an illness, the last being Illrigal's younger brother, Pallo. The Garo brought comfort to Illrigal and said that he doesn't see an enemy in Illrigal and offered to train him in the way of the Garo.
Illrigal trained with the Garo's for a period of 6 years. At the age of 28 Garo befriended a fairly young recruit by the name of Stelio Eziotaure. The two always challenged each other to see who can out best the other. Despite how young Stelio was, he bested Illrigal at almost every challenege possible. Illrigal was given a Garo Robe to wear as a mark of his accomplishments with them.
Ikana and The Garos
The Hooded man, who is revealed to be Peter confronted Illrigal and wanted to talk to him, saying that those Illrigal are working for are becoming power hungry, and informs Illrigal to be careful. Peter always added that the men who chased him away that night intent to kill him, saying that the Ikana King was becoming power hungry and wanted to cut-loose ends permanently, which man the Garo Robe somewhat neutral towards The Royal Family. Illrigal continued to accompany the Garos, while doing some undercover work within the walls of Ikana Castle.
Illrigal was shock and what Peter said was true. He also witnessed a Garo being beaten in his cell, only to commit suicide, a Garo Ritual in order to prevent liable information to be leaked and to destroy one's body completely. Days Later, The Ikana King took action.
Betrayal, and the attack to rid of the Garos
The Ikana King insisted that the Garo Robe, a now former ally, was spying, but in reality, this quest for power made the King mad. The King sent out one of his Genreals by the name of Keeta to go forth and hunt down the Garos. Keeta's men fought in a slowly growing war with the Garos at the base of Ikana. Illrigal marched into the Kings chamber, only to find that the King's men captured and brought forth a Garo, revealed to be Stelio. The King gave his sword to Illrigal, in order for him to execute Stelio before him. Illrigal stood there with the King's sword next to Stelio's neck. But he couldn't bring himself to murder someone who is like a brother to him. The King informs Illrigal, if he doesn't kill him, then he is one of them. The King's men looked in confusion as the King continued to say this that if anyone is a refuses to side with him is just like the Garos. Illrigal punched out the King and freed Stelio. Out of anger the King laughed and said that Illrigal was like a son to him and he couldn't do something so simple than to take a life of a Garo. He then called forth his lackeys to kill the soldiers and attempted to kill Illrigal and Stelio, which failed. The soliders, including Illrigal and Stelio fled the scene. Before they left, an injured Peter stopped them, and tells the two that the war waged against the Garos and the Ikana Kingdom had begun and tells the 4 to flee from the area and not show up until the battle had been won.
Fleeing from Termina
Illrigal, Stelio and the two soldiers escaped deep to The Woods of Mystery, hoping that they would never be found, however, the group has gotten lost and ended up elsewhere, not place recognizable to Termina. One of the solider says that this is a good thing because it is impossible for The Ikana King's men to find them. The 4 snuck onto a boat, however, Stelio wasn't feeling so well, and a caretaker within the unknown village insist on caring for him, so Illrigal had no choice, but to leave him behind, promising to comeback for him.
Del'Sol Province, becoming a citizen
The Soldiers with Illrigal tried to look for work and a place to stay. The 3 were a bit uncomfortable to Gerudos and Shikahs in the area, however, they did their best to blend in. The 3 worked as soldiers for The Soli'Dad Province and to their surprise the Garo Robe were present, but went under the name, Garo Ninjas, baring the robe, however, combat is a bit different. Illrigal tried to speak with them however, their language was a bit different, revealing that most Garos were from the Subrosian race. The Garo Ninja were a group in Del'Sol that didn't have much respect at all so Illrigal and his friends aided them, becoming thieves in the process.
At The age of 29, Illrigal had been banished due to stealing, being dubbed The Exile, but by the Garo's, Pello, which also translate into Exile. Illrigal was forced to roam the desert for a few months, however, he had his Garo attire tailored differently, even customizing a mask to match that of a Garo Master, despite not having such a rank given to him. He acted as if he didn't speak, finding a way back into the Soli'Dad Palace to care for his brothers and sisters of a different race, eventually he fell in love with a beautiful Gerudo woman, in addition, Illrigal issue with race changed completely.
Broken Twili Refugees, Battle against NADI
Illrigal now at the age of 31 grouped up with Novos Orsa soldiers and other groups, clans, and races to stop a looming threat. The King of Orsa and other Royal Family members of different provinces joined the Twili refuges in using a solar like object to defeat NADI, this prompt the use of Sol Fragments merging with different types of weaponry. Illrigal The Exile, now a leader of the Garos in Del'Sol joined in on the battle, this was also the time Illrigal and Stelio came face-to-face after sometime had past. After the battle the Garo's parted, unseen.
Peace and Prosperity Broken, Bloodshed
At the age of 38, Illrigal was still part of the Garo Ninja Group, and he was also a loyal husband to his wife. The 2 soldiers who were with Illrigal since, Falric & Marwyn did a little spy work and informs Illrigal about an unknown citizen by the name of Zolom, this information had been past down to Stelio as well. Stelio sent his Garos to aid Illrigal until out of nowhere, Gerudos and Sheikah began fighting each other, which had the Garos stuck in the middle. The only bit of information Illrigal got was that there had been some sort of betrayal after the King's brother had died. Illrigal went to investigate, but had no luck, having to battle those he called neighbors as if this betrayal had scarred them heavily. Illrigal became frustrated and didn't want to relive his nightmare in Ikana and fought his way back to his quarters, only to see Sheikah solider march inside his home. The men attacked Illrigal's wife and injured her badly. Illrigal swooped in and killed the men. Illrigal's insanity began when his wife slowly passed away, in addition, Illrigal blames this on himself, knowing he could have been there sooner to save her. Illrigal was enraged and decided to slaughter those who are attacking the innocent inside the palace, a young Garo named Noah'mi tried to reason with Illrigal, but was only pushed aside. Noah'mi went besides Illrigal's wife and mourned, only to discover something else shocking in the home.
As for Illrigal he started to attack anyone in his way, forcing Stelio, who arrived late to fight his former friend. The battle against Illrigal and Stelio took place, and the Garo Ninja who side with one of them fought as well. In the end some Garo's sided with Illrigal and Stelio took his leave after defeating Illrigal. However, the fighting continues. The man the Garos were seeking had long fled the scene. The injured Falric came to Illrigal's side after fighting off Sheikah and Gerudo forces, same could be said for Marwyn, who is now missing an eye from combat. Illrigal's final words that day refer to the Garo's way of suicide reverse, saying to leave no man or woman who is corrupted standing. As Illrigal drove his blades into his foes, in his head he still cannot believe the death of someone who gave him so much peace.
Months later, the Palace and its village had been buried in the sand forgotten, in addition, it became a popular spot for poes during the night.
Talking with NADI
Despite Illrigal being an unknown enemy to NADI, they insist in recruiting him and offered him a chance to have power over Del'Sol. Illrigal, still a bit insane refused this offered and threaten them. Over a coarse of weeks, NADI still insisted, eventually, they decided to teach him a lesson due to their frustration with a key element into finding the Dark Artifact. During Link's time in the ruins, NADI secretly sent in an assassin to beat some sence into Illrigal, however, this assassin had a mind of it's own and despite to kill anyone in it's path, halting the Garos of Stelio, who were fighting Illrigal's Garos to temporally team up to rid of this intruder, however it was impossible. The enemy moves very slow, however, it is very strong. If Link were to fight it at the time, there would be no escape and no defeating it. The last this figure appears is when Illrigal has been defeated by Link and it has been killed by Dorian.
Kidnapping the Princess, attempting to recruit Link
The poes of the desert feared Illrigal, and offered to kidnap the Gerudo princess as a way of not being target practice for the Garo Ninjas. The first attempt failed due to a Garo by the name of Roga and Dorian who stopped them.
The second attempted was a fail from the start and the tried attempt had been stopped by Link. The poes informs Illrigal about a boy in green and to Illrigal, thinking of how Link is highly skilled planned to recruit him.
Lucky for him, Link and the Princess randomly dropped by on his doorstep, making the kidnapping for ransom a bit easier. The ransom was simple, Illrigal got information about some Gerudos knowing the location of shard piece to the Dark Artifact and informs this information or else he will kill the girl. Once Illrigal got a good look at her, to his surprise the girl resembles his wife, in addition, extending the ransom days for the Del'Sol Kingdom to respond. At this time, Link had been stalked by Stelio's Garos to save the Gerudo princess and finally putting Illrigal down. All went well until Link stumbles upon a Garo named Noah'mi, who knew the truth behind the bloodshed and the key to Illrigal's insanity.
Illrigal was eventually defeated by Link, however, an ominous figure attempted to chance an assassination on Illrigal and the Princess at the same time, the figure swept pass Link, making Link miss, however, Dorian saved both Illrigal and the princes by killing the figure.
