Good gone Bad
Malus was formerly a Goron Wrestler who wanted to raise money to save his brother(Tesh) who was attacked by bad men, those who seek the artifact. Malus decided to find a piece of this artifact to sell it to those seeking it, wanting to make a profit from it. So Malus turned to thugs and joined them for a bit, trying to locate a piece of the artifact. Over the pass few months, Malus grew accustomed to doing bad, and is often the one being chased off by guards and warriors alike.
Turning on his comrades, Being Hunted in the Cold
Malus and his thugs were grunts to a human named Broga. Broga and his crew manages to find a piece of the artifact after killing a victim who hid the fragment. Broga's men killed a high value villager in Port Town, which prompted the guards to put a bounty on him, Malus and the others. Malus insisted Broga to flee to his homeland, BlackRock and hide in the mountains. And so they did. BlackRock was known for it's chilly, blizzard mountain regions, however, they took the risk. The guards were still hot on their tail and recruited the Gorons to find Broga. Malus and company hid in a cave somewhere in BlackRock and started to share stories of the artifact. Malus asked a lot of questions concerning the fragment. however, in Malus' mind, he since lost of saving his brother Tesh, and wanted power and to be feared. While all the men grew weary and sleepy, Malus took it upon himself to take the fragment, which triggered Broga and his men to attack Malus, who is seen as a common grunt. Malus easily killed his human comrades and escaped into the cold. He didn't want anyone finding the fragment so he ate it, this quickly gave him pains in his stomach. Hours later, Malus was ambushed and surrounded by his hunters, among them was Darius The Goron Leader, who fought Malus to the death. Because of his pains, Malus was slowly dying, in addition, he had been brutally beaten, and died from the fragment stuck inside his stomach. The humans provided the Gorons with wrappings to wrap up Malus' corpse, later, Broga and his men. The blizzard has gotten worse as the humans and Gorons travel back down the mountain.
Reanimation and being trapped
The corpse of Malus started to move, the humans thought that he may still be alive and dropped it in the snow. One human peek at the corpse only to be grabbed by Malus and bitten several times, and the human began fighting Malus. Darius and his Gorons who were looking for ways to reach the Goron Village looked back to see a monstrous Malus eating one of the human guards. Shocked at this, Darius and his men tried to fight the beast. Malus' appearance changed completely. Having dark grey skin tone, a large cross scar on his belly, and decomposing skin and glowing green eyes. Darius tried to speak with Malus, however, the beast only moans and screams, shouting that it is hungry. Darius had no choice, but to fight/push the beast back up the mountain, eventually trapping it inside the old BlackRock Temple/Goron City. Darius' men questioned that the bite marks on Darius if it is fatal, the marks caused great pain and made Darius hallucinate. After such and event, Darius kept to himself and meditated, trying to seek sane because the pain from the marks struck fear in him. Darius' Son, Byron wanted to know what has happened, however, he wasn't able to get an answer.
Malus is now known as Mal'Rocher, the Goron who went bad.
