Shay Ferguson is a computer hacker who has meta human abilities such as generating waves from his palms. He has a habit for taking control of robots that don't have their own A.I or core for thinking for themselves just by touching them. His brain acts as a link between devices and his body, however, this leaves him vulnerable when he is connected with whatever he is connected to.

He dies during the warehosue shooting out, moments before his leader, Edwin Fleece (London Wolf) and his sister were gundown. He manages to fight one of the gunmen off, giving Marisa and Tina sometime to escape. It is unknown if he dies because Marisa and Tina heard gunshots in the direction Barcode went, and when Marisa woke up to search the area, Barcode was not there.

Barcode must have been killed or taken by Sai, but it is unknown.
