James Konta, also known as The Green Samurai, is the hero and protagonist of The Dragon Diary Story. Not only he is a present day samurai in a future beyond his own, he is also a recognized hero, who vowed on stopping The Shadowstep Clan and the higher power gang members, which are part of The Establishment after we was told by various other heroes about the groups plea to take over most of the world, which they have done so starting with United Kingdom. James is also part of a team that is recruiting those to do what he does, protect people from the bad people that cause harm to others.

James Konta was born in Kibou, New Japan in the year 21XX. He was the second child of Joseph Konta and Hinata Hirada. After the birth of his 3rd brother, Joshua Konta, both Joseph and Hinata left New Japan, thinking that them being around their children more would cause a renegade Shadowstep members to harm them, as this man nearly did with Jason, James’ older twin brother.

James was raised in a Dojo, which was founded and ran by his uncle, Akhiro Nagano Konta. Unlike Jason, James was more determine to push himself hard while remaining humble and respectful towards others in the dojo. Eventually, at age 4, James took up a sword in the dojo and began trying to use it without permission; however his uncle sees this and decides to teach him.

James’ father had fallen in love with a woman, who was a Dragni and was also part of the Shadowstep Leader’s family. The woman bore 3 children, the second born, being a twin to the first (Jason), had something very special about him; James’ father named him James, knowing that the boy will be bold and courageous, and probably be the one to defeat the now corrupt Shadowstep Clan, at the time, the couple were in Kibou Japan visiting family. Soon, Jason, James and finally Joshua lived with their mother in secret on the unknown island, however, very soon, James’ father had him and his brother’s sent away to their uncle, who lived in New Japan, a way of preventing Shadowstep from taking the children in which the 3 would become dangerous weapons if they were of Dragni bloodline.

James was among the top students of the dojo and soon he was able to put his skills to the test in a tournament of strength. His brother, Jason, wanted to be the best of the students, but was eventually defeated at the hands of James, causing Jason to become furious, at this moment, when James tried to comfort his brother, he witnessed a glare of red in his brother’s eyes. After this, James was put up against his cousin, Jackyln Konta, who put up a great fight against James because of her ability to switch in and out of defensive stances. Both of them were on par with each other, with Jackyln defeating James when she switched to hand to hand combat on the fly while they were using wooden swords.

New Life

After that day, Jason was nowhere to be and some villagers stated that he took off on a boat with tourist who usually comes to New Japan, causing Ahkiro to worry. One of Ahkiro’s pupils, who had come to visit stated that he will go to find Jason and this pupil briefly confronted and introduced himself to James, and this young man’s name was Garret Marino. Eventually Garret leaves and James spent most of his days hanging out with Joshua and Jackyln.

James and his brothers were under the care of Joseph’s brother, Akihiro Nagano Konta, a master swordsman who is quite familiar with Martial Arts and the way of the Samurai. This prompted the first 2 boys, Jason and James, to automatically be accepted into Nagano’s Academy, in which he trains his students in combat. Among the students was a young girl named Jackie Konta, who is introduced as their cousin in Kibou. The 3 trained together for hours; eventually James surpasses the two of them, giving Akihiro the impression that James is probably one of the few who may be capable of protecting New Japan from constant threats from the outside.

Soon James met and befriended a poor girl who went by the name of Saka, not wanting to reveal her name to him. James even went as far as trained with her a bit, with Jackyln teases him one day about the girl being his girlfriend.

Jason leaving the land of New Japan

As James progressed, and Joshua had already begun to walk, Jason began to envy his younger twin brother, mocking him of being the only one of the 3 born on the land and how their father liked him more. However, James is someone that is caring towards everyone and tried to reason with his brother, trying to make him feel better. This made Jason even madder, despite the affords of his younger brother trying to forgive him, regardless of not doing anything to him.

The Academy had a tournament coming up soon and the brothers were told to joined when Jackie told them about it. And so they did. James and Jason proved themselves to everyone, even Akihiro, however the final match was between the brothers, despite the emotion that the two shared on the ring, James defeated his brother, as Jason lies on the floor and stares angrily at James, James tells Jason to he is begging for forgiveness. Jason got up and pushed James and told him that he will get stronger and make a fool out of James, and James’ surprise, Jason’s eyes began to glow red, and out of nowhere he succumb to a large amount of pain and fled from the ring, never to be seen again.

The next day, Jackie informed James about his brother Jason who left the island, hoping to better himself, this sadden James a lot that day, soon it began to rain outside, a storm had brewed.

=Meeting the poor girl=

James went out into the fields of Kibou with a bag of fruit and bread, knowing his hungry, but doesn’t make an effort to eat. He worried about his brother, and he worried even more about why his pupils changed to that of a monster.

As he walked back to the Academy, James spotted a girl with black hair shivering in the rain; the two looked at each other as if they had known each other well. James was very shy and told the girl her name, where she responded why someone like me would want to care about a homeless girl like her. But James, not knowing what to say, offered her his food and told her to take it as a give of love from him. He was persistence and she eventually took the food and ate. James sat by her and began to talk to her under small hut in the rain. The girl introduced herself as Sakura Katsumi, and that she was born here, in addition, she speaks of her parents, who themselves were poor because her father’s business had been destroyed months ago by “bad men”. Hearing this, James told the girl to take him to her house, however, the girl responded that he cannot go to her home, because he is not her other half, but James insisted to go anyway, joking to her that he is her other half. James carried Sakura to her home, eventually meeting with her parents. James invited the Katsumi family to come with him to The Academy, where he offered even his room for them to stay, and so they did, however, James’ uncle provided a room for the Katsumi family.

Even at a young age, James took high interest in Sakura, and she did the same for James. She eventually became an apprentice to James and the two trained with each other every day, Jackie was happy for James and when the 3 got together, Jackie heard Sakura’s story and said to her, that her father knows of these men, to the New Japanese people, they are called The Outsiders, she added that her father is part of The Yakuza and they know a lot of things about The Outsiders.

=Confronting The Yakuza of New Japan=

When pondering about his brother, James sought out those who had seen the outside world because he wanted a better understanding of where his brother could have gone, so one day he went with Jackyln to meet with village elders, who called The Yakuza, who had reformed years ago once settling on the land they call today New Japan. They explained to James that the outside world differs from there’s, even going as far as telling James that the tourist that come here on rare occasions are prime examples. But James grew ever curious and wishes to see how things are himself, thinking that he has family outside as well and probably be able to see his parents. Jackyln tells James that he would be worrying about becoming strong and probably be an elder of Kibou and eventually a mentor to future students, just like what she is doing. James and Jackyln went off to other parts of New Japan to learn some more styles in fighting, to test their abilities with various fighters and clans out there, and as always extreme forms of training to push them even further.

James spoke to Akhiro about what he knows of the Yakuza, and to this, he had no choice but to introduce James to them because James’ father had foreshadowed this in his letters.

Eventually James had met them, however, they did not tell him anything about The Outsiders and if he is to see them, nor did they mention their past actions to James. James still baffled and confused didn’t sleep that night; he was kept up by his younger brother who wanted to play Sudoku with him.

James wasn't able to get a lot of information about them either when he began to read about them. The only key bit of information he was able to get was that The Yakuza, the clan his family is part of, originated outside of New Japan. James at the time wasn't aware of outside lands, for all he know is New Japan.

==Festival Night==

Soon the day of the Festival in Mihno was about take place, marking an anniversary of when the Japanese, including the Yakuza who left their corrupt ways, parted from the original Japan to claim this newly form land mass in the Asian seas. James eventually met the girl he hung out with, Saka, and Jackyln performing for the Samurai show for the event. After her part, she wanted to see James and gave James something her faher hid from him. Jackyln tells James the package contain a sword crafted by Joseph Konta to be gien to James, adding that he crafted 3 of these dual sided blades, with Jason stumbling upon them in the past and taking it for himself. James accepts this, but tells Jackyln that he will eventually return it to his uncle, for he feels he is not ready to use such a sword made by his father, but later that night during the festival, these strange men were roughing up villagers nearby, going as far as beating them to near death looking for someone. A Japanese villager attempted to punch one of these men only to find out that these men weren’t normal. The man broke his hand and was easily pushed aside by these metal men in cloaks.

During this time, The Katsumi family revived their business and as a celebration, they invited the whole Academy to go to Miho, New Japan for the festival. James sported his green Japanese garb and upon getting dressed, there was a knock on his door. He opened his door and there was Sakura, dressed in a beautiful blossom garb, stunning James where he stood. She told James that she had a gift for him, where James predicted and said if it is a kiss, both laughing, Sakura hugged James and gave him a mysterious package from James' uncle, Akhiro. She left, however James did not open it as the postage says not to open until he is to meet with Akhiro.

At the festival, James, Jackyln and everyone else were enjoying themselves, and a few tourist who were there were enjoying it as well until the Metal Heads arrived. Forcefully they demanded a man by the name was Dalton Ferguson, but the crowd was shaken and confused. Until they push through the crowd of people, looking for the man and eventually found him. The Metalheads were aggressive and did not hesitate to beat some sense into Dalton, who was a gangster who escaped to New Japan sometime ago to get away from all his troubles of nearly being exposed. Seeing the beating, James walked to stop it, with Jackyln telling James to stand down. James moved his hand away from his cousin and pushes forward. As one of the Metalheads proceeded to slam down its fist on Dalton’s back, James stops it, feeling the pain once he catches the robots hand. James told the metallic man enough, while trying to hold back his expression because countering the Metalhead hurt him. He felt the arm of the Metalhead and realized something was wrong, then glanced at the Metalhead and realized that it wasn’t a man a all. The Metalhead glared at James with its glowing red and yellow eyes.

During the festival, James spent most of his time in the background, holding his package in hand. Hours into the event, a group dressed in black interrupted the festival and targeted one man there, who did not look Japanese and or of Asian descent. James got a closer look at the situation and the men began beating the unknown man to the ground and told him there is no escape, you will always pay us back even if he is to be dragged off New Japan. One of the hooded men pulled out a sword and attempted to decapitate the unknown man, however, they only threaten the man as they proceeded to drag him away.

==Meta-Heads, apparent death==

The crowed started to shattered, pushing one another out of the way in hopes of escaping. The Hooded man was stopped by James’ uncle, Akhiro, which prompted the 14 men to fight him, and Yakuza members who appeared and aided Akhiro. James watched his uncle fight as Jackie told James to run, adding he can handle it. But as soon as the hoods came off, these men were not human nor were they beasts, the 14 men, as described by James, were men of metal, no flesh or blood on them. Fearing that this, creatures would kill his uncle, who is being dominated by them, James jumps in to try and save his uncle and 2 members of the Yakuza Clan, pushing Akhiro out of the way. The 14 men focused their eyes on James, joking that he is just a boy. James fought 2 of the 14 metal men, in which he now calls, metal heads, in battle. The fight caused one of the metal heads to throw a small object, a small napalm frag, which caused fire to the nearby huts used in the festival. Knowing he is defenseless, James opens up the package, revealing 2 Katanas inside, both having an intricate design to them and he used them to fight the metal heads in combat.

In anger, the Metalhead snapped, right after James called it a monster, demanding what he is, the Metalhead threw James saying to the little boy that he should not have done what he did and proceeds to fight James. James used the sword that was given to him to fight the robot, accidentally splitting the swords in two, seeing that the swords were detachable and were linked by some odd magnet. James was eventually hammered by this robot, as the other robots began beating Dalton, accidentally causing a fire in the process. Saka and Jackyln sees this and attempts to evacuate the villagers from the fire, which destroyed their festival, however, some stayed to watch. James was being thrown around, and forced himself to go hand to hand combat with the robots, with every attempt blow and counter shattering his bones. Then it happened. The tired out James dropped to the ground, but was soon lifted by the leader of the robots. The robot held James by the neck, with its other hand grabbing James hair. Jackyln watched in horror, along with others, who what the robots were doing. The leader of the Metalheads threatens the Japanese people and others who were still there, wanted to make an example of James. Its hand let go of James’ hair and transformed it’s hand into a blade. The robot aimed for James’ neck, and slowly motions its blade down to James’ chest then his abdomen. He said to James what are you, taunting James of what he said earlier. James as emotionless, he knew he was going to die that night and glanced around him, the fire and the people looked at him, with both Saka and Jackyln looking at him in shock, screaming his name, however, James couldn’t hear anything at all.

=The first of his abilities awaken=

During the fight, which Jackie, Akhiro, Sakura watched, James was beaten up and finally, one of the metal heads grabbed James by his hair and lifted him up. It looked into the crowd and the festival huts that were in a blaze and it yelled and said, let this be an example of those that don’t pay back, the unknown man insisted for them to take him instead, however, they kicked him away. The metal head continued to say that the boy's blood and his death with be a symbol, a mark of trying to fight back. The metal head impaled James in the stomach with its blade, looking at James in his eyes and it said to him, that he fought honorable, but wasn't good enough, ending it by calling James a waste, it dropped him, apparently killing James for he not only bled out, but was on the brink of death. As everyone who remained and watched in fear, cried for the death of James. 3 Metal Heads pushed the crowd away and proceeded to confront the man. They told him and held a blade to his neck. They told him if he does not wish to share the same fate as the boy, he is to come with them, in addition, they told him that what the man had experience will be no more, referring the fact that erasing his memory of the event is indeed possible. They took the man by force and the 14 of them started marched away, however, a voice told them to “stick around, the festival isn't over”.

James felt as if he was being stabbed, which was happening, waking him up back to reality and he showed expressions of pain, trying to pull the blade out of his abdomen with his broken hands, but the robot forces it in, impaling James. He let go of James’ neck and he fell to his knees, bleeding to death and eventually he hit the ground on his side and started to black out with the fires raging around him, with faint memories passing his mind as transparent visions, allegedly dying. Witnessing this, Jackyln became enraged and confronted the Metalheads at full speed, only to be knocked to the side by the leader and she too was about to be impaled until Dalton accept to return to The United Kingdom. At this, the Metalhead laughed at the villagers calling them weak and feeble as the boy.

They turned back, scanning the crowd. They knocked the man out and proceeded to investigate the crowd, pushing civilians to the ground as if they were nothing. One of the Metal heads proceeded with threats to kill the one who said that, but no one responded. The Metal Head grabbed and lifted up an elderly man. It said that the old man will die because the one who said such did not reveal themselves, adding that they are the law of the lands. It readied it's blade and the old man had a shocked look on his face, and pointed behind the Metal Head. The man was shuttering in Japanese telling the robot to look. The Metal Head chuckled and told the old man even though it is a sophisticated cyborg, it will not fall to minor human trickery. However, the cyborg was a bit curious and it looked behind it and it too dropped the old man for it wasn't able to compute what it is witnessing, as for the old man and crawled to safety, away from the Metal Head cyborg.

==Recovering as a Dragni, power awakened==

But to everyone’s surprised, they witnessed James rising when the robot was boasting at its victory. James grabbed his swords that were next to him and reawakens, with the red glare in his eyes, which he saw in his brother Jason. James’ faced was covered with his black hair, all bloody and his wound started to heal itself slowly. Although he still looked pale after apparently dying. He uttered in a low tone the festival is not over, just before the robot attempted to kill Jackyln, the robot turns and sees James. It tried to scan him to see if he was a meta-human but the scan came up as unknown. The Metalheads said James should have remained dead and went to attack him. James got vicious during the fight, pushing his new founded strength into the blades his father had made and destroyed most of the Metalheads, ending them, with only the lead fighting. The leader Metalhead knocked the sword out of James’ had but was easily outplayed when James used the magnet to connect the swords back together, impaling the Metalhead when the sword zipped from behind, stabbing it in the back. Although it didn’t not die just yet, James cut away at the robot , leaving nothing but is semi-destroyed head on the ground. The people looked at James and cheered, and at the same time were in utter fear, thinking of James a monster or some undead. James tried to reason with everyone but after he was fully healed and mobile once again, he looked at the defeated Metalhead and he was looking at the insignia on the robots side, saying the word: Karvner. James took 3 steps forward then he froze and blacked out. Jackyln recovers and rushes to her cousin, and Saka rushed to James as well. She told James to wake up, kissing him on his forehead, and holding on to him.

The boy who was supposed to be dead had awaken, rising up slowly and his eyes began to glow scarlet red. The wound in his stomach closed up, but still he was covered in his own blood. The metal heads scanned James to see if it wasn't some trick, as for everyone else, they were in awe at the scene. James was ready to destroy them, however, he is shocked himself that he had escaped death, and his vision was a bit reddish, then he began to recall Jason and his eyes. James felt stronger and wielded the Katanas, which he gripped for the first time and marched towards the metal heads. Before they ere confronted by James, briefly the Metal Heads identified James as a type 2 Meta-Human and classified him as a "Dragni", human beings with abilities similar and or beyond meta-humans. They wanted to capture James alive, for this was a side-objective of theirs, to capture a Dragni.

As James got closer, everyone could see the effects added to him, whereas his skin had hardened and his grip was tight, his skin tone had darkened. The metal heads didn't wait around and attacked James. One by one they dropped, unable to defeat the boy, in turn James destroyed the metal heads, swiftly, as a warrior would to fight those who threaten his people.

James was carried by Jackyln back to the dojo, being accompanied by Saka. The man who was in the courtyard was a retired Shinobi mentor, Master Keiko Takeru, who is friends with Ahkiro. Keiko was in shock when he saw James, thinking he had died, but Jackyln informs him that he is still breathing, despite giving the pale complexion. Students rushed to Ahkiro, who was reading s story to the young Joshua Konta to help him go to sleep. Ahkiro then rushed out and witnessed James, and poured out tears, ripping his s garb in the process. When Ahkiro checked for any injuries, he found nothing, already having in mind why this was the cause. They then had James placed in chamber at the dojo for the shock of being impale, near death experience and shock from battle, put James in coma.

At their defeat, one of the metal head’s head recorded James walking towards him, before it could say anything; James executed the robot, destroying it, it's last words were that the scientists will be pleased. After this, everyone looked at James and cheered, however still feared him after what just happened. James looked around and dropped his swords; he looked at his own blood, mixed with black oil on his hands, and passed out.

Jackyln remained by her cousin’s side until he wakes up, as for Saka, she was still in tears, feeling as though James had left her and vanishes once again. Joshua soon found out about his brother and accompanied Jackyln and others who vist the chamber. Meanwhile, Dalton had returned to UK and within the burnt down village used for the festival, The Metalheads destroyed remains were salvaged by some of the corrupt men of New Japan.

James was in coma for a span of 2 weeks and during this time, he was in a locked in dream state where he meets this girl with blonde here, but her face was never shown. Every time this girl emerges from the darkness of his dreams, he sees a remained land and the people he knows, even imagining his parents in his dreams.

=Scared of hurting people, wanting to leave=

When James pasted out, he was in a coma-like state for 8 days straight. During this time, Akhiro decided to have James moved from New Japan, now knowing that the unknown may be coming after him. Jackie tells her further, how he knows this. He responded saying he knows how The Outsiders operate, and the technologies they use, which is alien to the people of New Japan, adding, rarely stuff like this happens in New Japan, he adds, the world has changed, however they chose to remain in the past, furthering his point that the metal heads, there is more of them, even advanced.

Jackyln was soon called to help out the other clans who were having trouble with criminals from the Japanese jail breaking free, and were eventually rumored to have salvaged the robot parts, their first action was attacking a village, in this village, Saka was there and she was caught in the crossfire, which caused her amnesia, and the man calling the shots had targets, including Saka’s parents. At this, Saka’s parents out of land friend sent the girl off with him, thinking it is best if they separate for their little girl for a bit, eventually escaping themselves to Old Japan. Jackyln, with other clan members pushed the Japanese criminals back in a campaign that would take days.

Joshua went to visit his brother and on the morning of the 3rd week, James woke up, seeing his brother besides me. Joshua was happy to see James wake and the two of them embraced. James said he couldn’t remember much because he was lost when fighting whomever he was fighting. Soon Keiko and Ahkiro were made known of James awakening when other dojo students were cheering and shouting James’ name while surrounding him. At this, the two mentors rushed from where they were in the dojo and embraced James.

Akhiro knew that this will be the last time Metal heads will confront certain people in New Japan after James’ actions, but in order to keep James safe, he had contacted his niece in New York via letter about what is to come in the after the next year. Soon James woke up, asking his uncle of what power he now has, Akhiro told James, that he is a Dragni, even telling Jackie she is one too, which wasn't a shock to her for she had known this for a while, but in the end, Jams did not know what a Dragni is, with James questioning if it was that was the cause of him cheating death.

==Recovering==

Now revealing herself, Jackie confronted James saying she is one to, had removed her bandages from her eyes, revealing she had glowing green eyes. James utter that if he and Jackie are monsters, in response, Akhiro informed James that he is not, just born with a special trait within his DNA, even mentioning his mother was one too. Akhiro told James of his plan, in hopes of keeping him safe.

=Leaving New Japan, Meeting Garret=

Ahkiro explained to James about what has happened, with Keiko cutting in to say that he knows the outside world how it is now, explaining to James what those things he was fighting were. Keiko stated that those robots were emulating a sole voice saying that it was controlled remotely, to which he explains this to James. Ahkiro laughed a bit and said he had forgotten how the outside world is now, adding he only knows about cameras and phones that project holograms. When James asked for Jackyln, Ahkiro stated that she had gone to fight off criminals who had recently escaped.

James went out to find his cousin, who was captured by one of the criminal leaders and saves her after defeating the man using robot parts as means of a weapon. Jackyln was so happy to see James, wasn’t expecting him to save her and the clan that was with her, embracing him, kissing him all over his face. They teamed up with one of the clans, E-Tock, to round up the remaining criminals.

Later that night, James was told his eyes were red and his skin tone had darkened as if he had a recent tan. At this, Jackyln wanted to know what was going on and spoke to her father with James present. Ahkiro explain to the two of them that they are both Dragnis, a special type of being capable of reaching feats beyond a normal human. Jackyln was confused and at this Ahkiro told her that she to be a half-Dragni, not as durable, but able to still push her limits beyond most humans.

James eventually meets one of his uncle’s student’s Garret Marino, the red head Italian from the states, who quickly befriended James. He told James he his cousin in America, he and he will escort him to James' cousin. James told everyone he knew that he was leaving, adding that he is going to come back soon. He confronted Sakura and kissed her goodbye and soon he left, taking a boat with Garret to Old Japan.

Garret talked to James and mentions a lot about James’ uncle and his cousin. To which Garret tends to get lost when talking about her saying that she is a beautiful woman and so forth. On the boat, he also talked about food to James, mainly Italian foods, in which James has no, idea of what that is, however fascinated by it, Garret revealed himself to be a chief as well. Garret pulled out a smart-device and explained to James that they use this in the world to communicate with people, teaching James of the gadgets of his time. The two made it to Old Japan, which at the time, is suffering from an imbalance in their government. James told Garret what has happen to "This Japan". Garret told James that some areas have become unsafe after the government fell some years ago due to corruption and terrorism. Garret sighed and said because of this other Asian countries suffered due to Old Japan's failure. He continues to tell James it isn't so bad in some parts vs. other areas. As they headed to the airport, the facility just recovered from a signal hit from an unknown source. James asked one of the guards of what that was, to which guard said probably a ghost hacker, or some malfunction somewhere, in addition, adding it happens at least 1-3 a week and the signal varies from minor to strong, to which it can be strong enough to shut-down everything. Garret added that everything goes black and looters, protesters and rioters come out to play. The guard added that it is tough to keep everyone in check since there is literally no balance in Old Japan. The guard looked at James and put his hand on his shoulder and told him, he hopes that he doesn't grow up to suffer from the mess their in, and James smiled at the guard saying when he learns out technology works, he will come back to see what the signal is. The two killed time with the conversation they had with the guard and their plane was here. Garret and James then boarded a plane to go off to New York City.

Despite all this, James sees himself as a threat, and the words of the Metalhead leader echo his head, he sees himself as a monster in a way, but Jackyln comforted him. Ahkiro told James that knowing his father and mother, and the awakening of his power, he would have to temporarily leave New Japan for Hinata, James mother, knew that when something like this were to happen, her children should flee Shadowstep. Joshua has not shown any signs of being a Dragni but Ahkiro said he shares the same fate as Jason and James. Jackyln told her father why not send her away too to protect James, but her father said the mad man was after Hinata and her kids.

Garret and James became friends, and headed off, not before saying good bye. James moved to New York with Garret, who told James he has distant family members he could stay with. Before he could meet them, he was introduced by members of Garret’s team who defends NYC and train others to help defend, Yecho and Corbin and a young kid by the name of Cladd.

Garret explained to James that he was a former CIA agent who was in a selective group, which had young spies doing some dirty work in order to better the world. James asked why did Garret leave, for Garret to respond saying people changed, he changed and wants to settle down. He joked and stated he was given the opportunity to resign, adding he took his last check and took off, adding that if he is to help them, they are to contact him. Revealing to James he is no just a chief, a CIA agent, but a mentor and detective in his own right.

Soon Garret meets with Mikhaela Terwillinger, and explains to her about James, her distant cousin, but he did not reveal to her that James wasn’t normal, but somewhat of a superhuman, not wanting Mikhaela to freak out. While living with her, whereas James calls her Mia for short, in a way he watches over his cousin because he does not want to see her get hurt. After watching a movie one night with her, James spoke about why a man wears a mask to save people and stop the bad guy to which Mia told him it is to protect people he loves.

Eventually, they made it to the hideout, with Garret saying home sweet home. While there, James confronted not just future allies, but good friends.  Corbin "Core" Outter, a swordsman and parkour elitist, like James, he knows how to fight with a sword. He is an American born Zlander. Yecho Shuo Yuanjia, a monk turned fighter, who is a few years older than James, he had originated from China as an exchange student and also joined Garret, despite his skills, he is a student of Garret, and finally Jason Grant Cladwell, a boy who hangs out with Garret and friends, he is Japanese American, he is a black belt and was enlisted to join Garret, for Garret also taught Jason's father self-defense. The group had hung out and introduced themselves, ate food made by Garret, who is also an excellent cook of Italian cuisines, and talked about life, experiences, and last but not least, Martial Arts. It was at this moment James sorrow of his older brother and leaving his land had ceased, seeing the group has brothers of his own. Later that night, James began to write letters to his uncle, his cousin Jackie, and mostly his younger brother, Joshua, who is at this moment missing James a lot. As for Garret, he tried to contact Mikhaela Terwilliger multiple times, for she was the true guardian of James Konta and distant cousin of his, despite her dutch/Asian background.

At seeing this, James went out on nights whenever Mia was working or asleep and fights off petty thieves, eventually running into rivals such as Walkner Vile, who uses remote controlled a robot to mess around with kids in an ice cream shop. During one of the two confrontations  they had, James was able to save and befriend a girl named Sakura Katsumi, who resembles Saka, and another fight that caused a freak accident where he was cloned by accident during the fight with the newly recreated Dalton being forced into reconstruction due to the clone’s violent behavior. Newer enemies emerged for James to confront, even his clone, making him become a better fighter, thinking more of others with extreme focus on defending those who cannot fight for themselves.

But soon when the future CIA trainee was given a task, which she had been on for weeks, to track down a young man who was supposedly buying drugs and paying off unknown persons of interest. James added if Akhiro had 2 brothers inside of one, to which she replied yes, James' father and hers, she continued to say that she is sorry for James' lost, however, James told her it is okay, for his father was a man of mystery, and perfers to keep it that way, even though he is speculated to be death, same for James' mother.

The target’s name was Frankie White, a college dropout from Ohio who started a small gang in NYC, and over time he had gave some connections and was arrested for minor things. As Mia tries to find Frankie in a club, James finds Frankie and stops him from harassing a girl, eventually pushing Frankie into a glass ceiling, holding on to him before eventually flipping away from him for safety. Frankie was chased out by Mia and Jams, who took a shortcut and when Frankie trapped Mia, James saves her and the two cousins confronted Frankie for the final time, defeating him, which lead to his inevitable arrest for the final time. That same night, Mia went to James and sees him laying down, and found out he was The Green Samurai everyone was talking about when she spotted his smelly get-up in his dresser, to which James countered Mia saying if it wasn’t for him, she may not be standing right now, adding that he would be devastated if he’d lose her. At the same time, Mia didn’t want her current boss and head detective partner, Brenda, to find out, so she had to play it cool to hide James’ identity, something she would never thought of doing to begin with. After sometime and Mia’s eventually entrance to the CIA program, Garret, including Mia, James and Cladd formed Team Emerald, often going out in pairs or a full team to stop bad guys, and eventually, they all wanted to know about the man named Karvner due to most weaponized criminals and robots baring this odd name, the same name that has turned up once again during James adventures.

James lied a bit to her saying that he wanted to see how the world was, removing his hoodie, revealing his bushy black hair and his red eyes. Mikhaela thought that he was wearing red contacts in order to look cool, James didn't want to reveal that he is a Dragni, in fear that even his cousin would toss him out because of this. Seeing this James walked up slowly, with his hoodie and hair covering most of his face, he shouted "Hey"! Frankie and the woman looked in James' direction, James continued to say "The woman wants to leave, she is not your property and she has the right to choose what she wants to do." The girl told Franike he better do what he says, thinking James could be one of the meta-humans running around.

They wouldn't care if a grown man was beaten senselessly by a child either", fueling Frankie's anger even more and the 2 fought with Frankie charging into James.

The woman who denied Frankie pulled out her smartphone, hesitating not to take a selfie, instead decided to record the fight instead of running, whispering to herself that this needs to go viral on a fight website, already thinking of the video name, grown man gets butt kicked by teenager. James grabbed Frankie and slapped him twice, tossing him off the railing, into a weak window. Frankie fell on to the dance floor inside the club, the people dancing move out of the way, and James hopped in the center. Mikhaela watched the scene from the crowded, and he man who was next to her attempted to put his arm around her, only to be punched in the face by her. Frankie then called up his men to fight James with him, they emerged from the crowd, making the total of fighters against James 5, including Frankie. James, took out an apple and started to eat it, telling Franike that why bring friends to fight or him instead of with him. The DJ, interested about the fight continued to play music, knowing that after tonight, he will hide away for a bit or seek out a new gig, as for the others inside, they started to record the fight, and another person called the police, telling them it is a gang brawl or a hazing fashion fight.

James was literally having fun with these wannabe fighters soon Frankie tried to take off, while his men continued to fight, he tried to flee from the broken window he fell through, pushing the woman from before out of the way as she was recording, yelling at Franike saying that looks like she isn't interesting to him after all, in addition, she shouted I got evidence now, as Frankie told her to F off as he ran. Frankie didn't realize that Mikhaela was pursuing him via shortcut, however, he led Mikhaela into a trap, which was met for James.

He looked behind him saying that he wanted to get the kid, however, she would do nicely. Mikhaela was told to drop her weapons as guns were being pointed towards her. She joked if she really had to, with the gunmen telling her how hard is it to listen to simple instructions, and the gunmen procceded to say that American women do not listen, unlike his "loves" in the United Kingdom. Mikhaela continued to argue saying that the man is sad for thinking that, adding that she isn't American, with the man saying to her it is obvious, adding that women are nothing more but kitchen dwellers, to which Mikhaela turned her head to the gunmen, still with her hands up, and argued with the gunmen about sexism, to which Franike told the two of them to shut up. Eventually Mikhaela dropped her weapons as her hands were still up, the gunmen whisper to her ear and told her that what he said is true, to which Mikhaela told the gunmen to shut up, and he chuckled stilling having the gun pointed to Mikhaela.

Frankie told her to get down on her knees, with Mikhaela joking again telling Frankie that if he is doing what she think it is, he will be sorry, adding, in addition, the sun is almost coming out. The gunmen said to Frankie what kind of girls does he attract to be robbed, to which Franike told him to shut up. Frankie took out his second dagger from his other boot and saaid to her "normally I don't like hurting smart girls, but you would be the first to really piss me off during this time, and after you, I'll get the kid." Mikhaela added, if Frankie and his men could see properly. The gunmen looked at Frankie and told him if he could just rob the woman and make her wish she should have stayed in the kitchen. Mikhaela smirked and called the gunmen a sexism bastard, adding that if he treats his Lodon loves the same way, while using a British accent, which pissed off the gunmen, to which Franike told the two of them to stop arguing once again.

Franike got up close with his dagger, and Mikhaela pushed a button embedded at the palm of her gloves, with smoke marbles dropping from her forearm strap, blinding the men. She kicked Frankie and knocked out a few of his men, afterwards she grabbed Frankie by his arm and said you're coming with me, handcuffing him. The gunmen who was stunned well unconscious after stating he didn't see that one coming, and he fell. As she lifted Frankie up, one of another of Frankie's men pointed a gun to her head, with Mikhaela saying that she didn't really think this out properly and closed her eyes, however, she is saved by James who threw a half-eaten apple at the man's gun, forcing him to drop it, after this James stated he waste an apple, but in return, he saved a life.

Mikhaela Terwilliger confronted the police with Franike in cuffs, to which they took Frankie in for questioning, same for Frankie's men. The club goers were raving about the fight and showed each other recordings as they were leaving the scene, however the police told them to report this piece of evidence of the man or boy who harmed these men. The first woman who had been saved by James hesitated to give this evidence to the police, but eventually she did. Even sending in a droid robot to instantly clear recent data on the devices, about 2-3 hours of data, including photos and media not related to the situation. During the report in the morning, The cops were shocked at the small 5 second video that was not deleted by the scanner robot, whereas James' eyes were glowing red, and it shows him about to use his sword to fight Frankie. They marked James as a vigilantly and marked him as wanted, even though he was a boy, however, during that time and age, it did not matter. The News were able to get bits of the information and dubbed James as The Green Samurai.

Mikhaela Terwilliger wasn't just happy, but angry at the same time. After she took her shower, she could be heard arguing and yelling at James who was in the other room, as he sat there watching TV and eating random fruit from Mikhaela's fruit basket. Still angry about James not remaining in bed, she marched to him, still wearing her towel and grabbed him by his hair saying he should have not been there and said she could have handled it. James, in pain because of his hair is being pulled told Mikhaela that the bad men might have killed her if he didn't show up or Frankie could have gotten away, adding that she should go dress up before speaking to him, saying she is being disrespectful. Mikhaela let go of James' hair and began to mumble as she walked away, yelling at the last second that she is free to do as she pleases in her house, to which the next door neighbor yelled back, correcting her saying that it it is not a "house" it is an "apartment", please you the correct words. James giggled and said the neighbor is a nice person, adding questioning his cousin if she knew the neighbor was an English teacher. Mikhaela in anger said she knows, every time he hears her, he is quick to correct or anyone living nearby.

Among his first in-school friends was Miranda Katt Melone, a perky, active and open-minded girl, who fell in love with James, even though the two of them would never date. James befriended, and because of her nickname, she was called Kitty by James and by her friends.

During Lunch, James usually sits with them, however, he remain quite the entire time, trying to understand what they were talking about. When it was James' turn, he spotted a girl with short black hair and a grey sweater, and the girl spotted him too. The two of them locked eyes with each other. Kitty told James that the girls name is Rona and that she is the adoptive sister of a recent grad from the middle school, who is practically a high school junior as of now. James continued to look and saw the guy Kitty was talking about. The young man walked towards Rona, and looked at James with an angered look and the two of them walked away with a young man, who is said to be a freshmen, staring James down as he walked away. James asked who were those guys. Kitty said she can't recall the names, referring to Rona's brother as The Peruto-Rican guy and his little follower, Jenji the emo kid.

Unknown to James, the Peruto-Rican guy is Kai'Talos. He questioned his adoptive sister as to why she was staring at the "filth" in the lunchroom, in addition, he didn't want to visit the school again only to have boys drooling over his sister. Rona didn't respond, however, seconds later she stated that she thought she saw the boy, James, before. Jenji showed up and told Kai if he wishes for him to beat up James, adding that he never loses a school fight, and or failed to defend Kai's sister.

To which Rona showed up telling James she truly doesn't know who he is, but proceeds to kiss him on the forehead anyway before leaving with Kai and Jenji.

In addition, he tricked an anti-hero to go after him, by faking a tip that a woman was being kidnapped and soled into human slavery, which got the attention of Bianca Airesus, who recently started living in New York. This lead Bianca to see James, The Green Samurai as a threat and rival, for the two had fought each other, with the same goal in mind, the warehouse at the docks.

The two of them fought, even at the warehouse they fought still. Now that Kanwell got James' in his sights, he enabled the bombs inside the warehouse and made his escape. What was suspected in the live news was the robots, taking their own actions there, Caveboy told James Dark Skull said that the robot's master could be the cause so he took off ahead of James to find this so called master.

James Konta, also known as The Green Samurai, is the hero and protagonist of The Dragon Diary Story. Not only he is a present day samurai in a future beyond his own, he is also a recognized hero, who vowed on stopping The Shadowstep Clan and the higher power gang members, which are part of The Establishment after we was told by various other heroes about the groups plea to take over most of the world, which they have done so starting with United Kingdom. James is also part of a team that is recruiting those to do what he does, protect people from the bad people that cause harm to others.

James Konta was born in Kibou, New Japan in the year 21XX. He was the second child of Joseph Konta and Hinata Hirada. After the birth of his 3rd brother, Joshua Konta, both Joseph and Hinata left New Japan, thinking that them being around their children more would cause a renegade Shadowstep members to harm them, as this man nearly did with Jason, James’ older twin brother. James was raised in a Dojo, which was founded and ran by his uncle, Akhiro Nagano Konta. Unlike Jason, James was more determine to push himself hard while remaining humble and respectful towards others in the dojo. Eventually, at age 4, James took up a sword in the dojo and began trying to use it without permission; however his uncle sees this and decides to teach him.


Life in New Japan

Dojo Tourney

James was among the top students of the dojo and soon he was able to put his skills to the test in a tournament of strength. His brother, Jason, wanted to be the best of the students, but was eventually defeated at the hands of James, causing Jason to become furious, at this moment, when James tried to comfort his brother, he witnessed a glare of red in his brother’s eyes. After this, James was put up against his cousin, Jackyln Konta, who put up a great fight against James because of her ability to switch in and out of defensive stances. Both of them were on par with each other, with Jackyln defeating James when she switched to hand to hand combat on the fly while they were using wooden swords. After that day, Jason was nowhere to be and some villagers stated that he took off on a boat with tourist who usually comes to New Japan, causing Ahkiro to worry. One of Ahkiro’s pupils, who had come to visit stated that he will go to find Jason and this pupil briefly confronted and introduced himself to James, and this young man’s name was Garret Marino. Eventually Garret leaves and James spent most of his days hanging out with Joshua and Jackyln. Soon James met and befriended a poor girl who went by the name of Saka, not wanting to reveal her name to him. James even went as far as trained with her a bit, with Jackyln teases him one day about the girl being his girlfriend.


When pondering about his brother, James sought out those who had seen the outside world because he wanted a better understanding of where his brother could have gone, so one day he went with Jackyln to meet with village elders, who called The Yakuza, who had reformed years ago once settling on the land they call today New Japan. They explained to James that the outside world differs from there’s, even going as far as telling James that the tourist that come here on rare occasions are prime examples. But James grew ever curious and wishes to see how things are himself, thinking that he has family outside as well and probably be able to see his parents. Jackyln tells James that he would be worrying about becoming strong and probably be an elder of Kibou and eventually a mentor to future students, just like what she is doing. James and Jackyln went off to other parts of New Japan to learn some more styles in fighting, to test their abilities with various fighters and clans out there, and as always extreme forms of training to push them even further.


Festival Night

Soon the day of the Festival in Mihno was about take place, marking an anniversary of when the Japanese, including the Yakuza who left their corrupt ways, parted from the original Japan to claim this newly form land mass in the Asian seas. James eventually met the girl he hung out with, Saka, and Jackyln performing for the Samurai show for the event. After her part, she wanted to see James and gave James something her faher hid from him. Jackyln tells James the package contain a sword crafted by Joseph Konta to be gien to James, adding that he crafted 3 of these dual sided blades, with Jason stumbling upon them in the past and taking it for himself. James accepts this, but tells Jackyln that he will eventually return it to his uncle, for he feels he is not ready to use such a sword made by his father, but later that night during the festival, these strange men were roughing up villagers nearby, going as far as beating them to near death looking for someone. A Japanese villager attempted to punch one of these men only to find out that these men weren’t normal. The man broke his hand and was easily pushed aside by these metal men in cloaks.


At the festival, James, Jackyln and everyone else were enjoying themselves, and a few tourist who were there were enjoying it as well until the Metal Heads arrived. Forcefully they demanded a man by the name was Dalton Ferguson, but the crowd was shaken and confused. Until they push through the crowd of people, looking for the man and eventually found him. The Metalheads were aggressive and did not hesitate to beat some sense into Dalton, who was a gangster who escaped to New Japan sometime ago to get away from all his troubles of nearly being exposed. Seeing the beating, James walked to stop it, with Jackyln telling James to stand down. James moved his hand away from his cousin and pushes forward. As one of the Metalheads proceeded to slam down its fist on Dalton’s back, James stops it, feeling the pain once he catches the robots hand. James told the metallic man enough, while trying to hold back his expression because countering the Metalhead hurt him. He felt the arm of the Metalhead and realized something was wrong, then glanced at the Metalhead and realized that it wasn’t a man a all. The Metalhead glared at James with its glowing red and yellow eyes.

Meta-Heads, apparent death

In anger, the Metalhead snapped, right after James called it a monster, demanding what he is, the Metalhead threw James saying to the little boy that he should not have done what he did and proceeds to fight James. James used the sword that was given to him to fight the robot, accidentally splitting the swords in two, seeing that the swords were detachable and were linked by some odd magnet. James was eventually hammered by this robot, as the other robots began beating Dalton, accidentally causing a fire in the process. Saka and Jackyln sees this and attempts to evacuate the villagers from the fire, which destroyed their festival, however, some stayed to watch. James was being thrown around, and forced himself to go hand to hand combat with the robots, with every attempt blow and counter shattering his bones. Then it happened. The tired out James dropped to the ground, but was soon lifted by the leader of the robots. The robot held James by the neck, with its other hand grabbing James hair. Jackyln watched in horror, along with others, who what the robots were doing. The leader of the Metalheads threatens the Japanese people and others who were still there, wanted to make an example of James. Its hand let go of James’ hair and transformed it’s hand into a blade. The robot aimed for James’ neck, and slowly motions its blade down to James’ chest then his abdomen. He said to James what are you, taunting James of what he said earlier. James as emotionless, he knew he was going to die that night and glanced around him, the fire and the people looked at him, with both Saka and Jackyln looking at him in shock, screaming his name, however, James couldn’t hear anything at all.


James felt as if he was being stabbed, which was happening, waking him up back to reality and he showed expressions of pain, trying to pull the blade out of his abdomen with his broken hands, but the robot forces it in, impaling James. He let go of James’ neck and he fell to his knees, bleeding to death and eventually he hit the ground on his side and started to black out with the fires raging around him, with faint memories passing his mind as transparent visions, allegedly dying. Witnessing this, Jackyln became enraged and confronted the Metalheads at full speed, only to be knocked to the side by the leader and she too was about to be impaled until Dalton accept to return to The United Kingdom. At this, the Metalhead laughed at the villagers calling them weak and feeble as the boy.

Recovering as a Dragni, power awakened

But to everyone’s surprised, they witnessed James rising when the robot was boasting at its victory. James grabbed his swords that were next to him and reawakens, with the red glare in his eyes, which he saw in his brother Jason. James’ faced was covered with his black hair, all bloody and his wound started to heal itself slowly. Although he still looked pale after apparently dying. He uttered in a low tone the festival is not over, just before the robot attempted to kill Jackyln, the robot turns and sees James. It tried to scan him to see if he was a meta-human but the scan came up as unknown. The Metalheads said James should have remained dead and went to attack him. James got vicious during the fight, pushing his new founded strength into the blades his father had made and destroyed most of the Metalheads, ending them, with only the lead fighting. The leader Metalhead knocked the sword out of James’ had but was easily outplayed when James used the magnet to connect the swords back together, impaling the Metalhead when the sword zipped from behind, stabbing it in the back. Although it didn’t not die just yet, James cut away at the robot , leaving nothing but is semi-destroyed head on the ground. The people looked at James and cheered, and at the same time were in utter fear, thinking of James a monster or some undead. James tried to reason with everyone but after he was fully healed and mobile once again, he looked at the defeated Metalhead and he was looking at the insignia on the robots side, saying the word: Karvner. James took 3 steps forward then he froze and blacked out. Jackyln recovers and rushes to her cousin, and Saka rushed to James as well. She told James to wake up, kissing him on his forehead, and holding on to him.


James was carried by Jackyln back to the dojo, being accompanied by Saka. The man who was in the courtyard was a retired Shinobi mentor, Master Keiko Takeru, who is friends with Ahkiro. Keiko was in shock when he saw James, thinking he had died, but Jackyln informs him that he is still breathing, despite giving the pale complexion. Students rushed to Ahkiro, who was reading s story to the young Joshua Konta to help him go to sleep. Ahkiro then rushed out and witnessed James, and poured out tears, ripping his s garb in the process. When Ahkiro checked for any injuries, he found nothing, already having in mind why this was the cause. They then had James placed in chamber at the dojo for the shock of being impale, near death experience and shock from battle, put James in coma.

Jackyln remained by her cousin’s side until he wakes up, as for Saka, she was still in tears, feeling as though James had left her and vanishes once again. Joshua soon found out about his brother and accompanied Jackyln and others who vist the chamber. Meanwhile, Dalton had returned to UK and within the burnt down village used for the festival, The Metalheads destroyed remains were salvaged by some of the corrupt men of New Japan. James was in coma for a span of 2 weeks and during this time, he was in a locked in dream state where he meets this girl with blonde here, but her face was never shown. Every time this girl emerges from the darkness of his dreams, he sees a remained land and the people he knows, even imagining his parents in his dreams.


Jackyln was soon called to help out the other clans who were having trouble with criminals from the Japanese jail breaking free, and were eventually rumored to have salvaged the robot parts, their first action was attacking a village, in this village, Saka was there and she was caught in the crossfire, which caused her amnesia, and the man calling the shots had targets, including Saka’s parents. At this, Saka’s parents out of land friend sent the girl off with him, thinking it is best if they separate for their little girl for a bit, eventually escaping themselves to Old Japan. Jackyln, with other clan members pushed the Japanese criminals back in a campaign that would take days. Joshua went to visit his brother and on the morning of the 3rd week, James woke up, seeing his brother besides me. Joshua was happy to see James wake and the two of them embraced. James said he couldn’t remember much because he was lost when fighting whomever he was fighting. Soon Keiko and Ahkiro were made known of James awakening when other dojo students were cheering and shouting James’ name while surrounding him. At this, the two mentors rushed from where they were in the dojo and embraced James.

Recovering

Ahkiro explained to James about what has happened, with Keiko cutting in to say that he knows the outside world how it is now, explaining to James what those things he was fighting were. Keiko stated that those robots were emulating a sole voice saying that it was controlled remotely, to which he explains this to James. Ahkiro laughed a bit and said he had forgotten how the outside world is now, adding he only knows about cameras and phones that project holograms. When James asked for Jackyln, Ahkiro stated that she had gone to fight off criminals who had recently escaped. James went out to find his cousin, who was captured by one of the criminal leaders and saves her after defeating the man using robot parts as means of a weapon. Jackyln was so happy to see James, wasn’t expecting him to save her and the clan that was with her, embracing him, kissing him all over his face. They teamed up with one of the clans, E-Tock, to round up the remaining criminals. Later that night, James was told his eyes were red and his skin tone had darkened as if he had a recent tan. At this, Jackyln wanted to know what was going on and spoke to her father with James present. Ahkiro explain to the two of them that they are both Dragnis, a special type of being capable of reaching feats beyond a normal human. Jackyln was confused and at this Ahkiro told her that she to be a half-Dragni, not as durable, but able to still push her limits beyond most humans.


Despite all this, James sees himself as a threat, and the words of the Metalhead leader echo his head, he sees himself as a monster in a way, but Jackyln comforted him. Ahkiro told James that knowing his father and mother, and the awakening of his power, he would have to temporarily leave New Japan for Hinata, James mother, knew that when something like this were to happen, her children should flee Shadowstep. Joshua has not shown any signs of being a Dragni but Ahkiro said he shares the same fate as Jason and James. Jackyln told her father why not send her away too to protect James, but her father said the mad man was after Hinata and her kids.

Going to NYC

Garret eventually revisits the land of New Japan and was immediately told by Ahkiro to take James in, even asking for Jason, however Garret stated that he has no clue where Jason went, but has a feeling that he is strong enough to handle himself. Garret and James became friends, and headed off, not before saying good bye. James moved to New York with Garret, who told James he has distant family members he could stay with. Before he could meet them, he was introduced by members of Garret’s team who defends NYC and train others to help defend, Yecho and Corbin and a young kid by the name of Cladd.

Distant Cousins

Soon Garret meets with Mikhaela Terwillinger, and explains to her about James, her distant cousin, but he did not reveal to her that James wasn’t normal, but somewhat of a superhuman, not wanting Mikhaela to freak out. While living with her, whereas James calls her Mia for short, in a way he watches over his cousin because he does not want to see her get hurt. After watching a movie one night with her, James spoke about why a man wears a mask to save people and stop the bad guy to which Mia told him it is to protect people he loves. At seeing this, James went out on nights whenever Mia was working or asleep and fights off petty thieves, eventually running into rivals such as Walkner Vile, who uses remote controlled a robot to mess around with kids in an ice cream shop. Soon he confronts people from The NeoFoot Clan, even going up against a new enemy known as Kaddak, who tricked Bianca Airesus into fight James, with the fight ending in James saving an injured Bianca from a burning warehouse.

Using his abilities to help, making friends/Rivals/Enemies

James eventually befriends one of his schoolmates, Miranda M. Lymberis the geeky girl who loves cats, who often helps him on some night patrols. The both of them met with and also helped out Jared and Dark Skull, causing James to form new alliance with others, to which Garret had been made aware of old friends and new-found allies.

One of James main enemies, Karvner, the same name branded on the Metalheads when James fought them in New Japan. During one of the two confrontations they had, James was able to save and befriend a girl named Sakura Katsumi, who resembles Saka, and another fight that caused a freak accident where he was cloned by accident during the fight with the newly recreated Dalton being forced into reconstruction due to the clone’s violent behavior. Newer enemies emerged for James to confront, even his clone, making him become a better fighter, thinking more of others with extreme focus on defending those who cannot fight for themselves. James’ nature made Mia become suspect and she wanted to investigate James more but got nothing. But soon when the future CIA trainee was given a task, which she had been on for weeks, to track down a young man who was supposedly buying drugs and paying off unknown persons of interest. Mia suited up to go to Club Red Sky, unaware of James tagging along.

The target’s name was Frankie White, a college dropout from Ohio who started a small gang in NYC, and over time he had gave some connections and was arrested for minor things. As Mia tries to find Frankie in a club, James finds Frankie and stops him from harassing a girl, eventually pushing Frankie into a glass ceiling, holding on to him before eventually flipping away from him for safety. Frankie was chased out by Mia and Jams, who took a shortcut and when Frankie trapped Mia, James saves her and the two cousins confronted Frankie for the final time, defeating him, which lead to his inevitable arrest for the final time. That same night, Mia went to James and sees him laying down, and found out he was The Green Samurai everyone was talking about when she spotted his smelly get-up in his dresser, to which James countered Mia saying if it wasn’t for him, she may not be standing right now, adding that he would be devastated if he’d lose her. At the same time, Mia didn’t want her current boss and head detective partner, Brenda, to find out, so she had to play it cool to hide James’ identity, something she would never thought of doing to begin with. After sometime and Mia’s eventually entrance to the CIA program, Garret, including Mia, James and Cladd formed Team Emerald, often going out in pairs or a full team to stop bad guys, and eventually, they all wanted to know about the man named Karvner due to most weaponized criminals and robots baring this odd name, the same name that has turned up once again during James adventures. When the Animal Pack rose to power, Mia and Garret teamed up with a few others to deal with the threat, while James was concerned about Dark Skull who was a friend of his. James wanted to help with Animal Pack too, but Mia said his presence will force the monsters to go to the extreme at what they’re doing. James eventually makes his way to Old Japan to find his friend,

starting the events of Cybernetic Threat in Japan.
